Manage Headland

What is the Headland?

The headland refers to the outer- or innermost part of a field, typically used for turning and maneuvering machinery. Managing the headland effectively is crucial for efficient field operations and minimizing soil compaction.

Managing the Headland

Proper headland management ensures smoother operations by defining the working boundaries of a field. TerraTrack allows you to configure both inner and outer headlands based on field geometry.

Outer Headland

The outer headland is the main turning area along the field boundary. It provides space for machinery to turn without interfering with the main working area.

Inner Headland

The inner headland is only displayed if the field geometry contains a hole (e.g., an obstacle, a no-application zone, or an excluded area).
