Frequently asked Questions
Why is TerraTrack free?
TerraTrack aims to provide small-scale farms in Austria with effortless access to current agricultural data and precise management. Thanks to public funding and collaboration with partners, a simple and free entry-level solution was created that can be used without costly specialized equipment or extensive expertise.
What benefits does elevation-adapted track planning offer?
An effective way to reduce erosion is to work across the slope, taking the terrain conditions into account. With TerraTrack, you can easily and flexibly plan your driving lanes without adding strain on your budget. In doing so, you not only help reduce erosion and fertilizer use, but also protect the environment.
What export file formats does TerraTrack support?
Currently, tracks are available for download in both Shapefile and ISO-XML formats.
What happens with my data?
Nothing alarming. Unlike many large competitors, we do not trade in data. In our privacy policy, you will find a detailed breakdown of the data we collect, the reasons for its collection, and where it goes. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, we are committed to minimizing your digital footprint and only store or process data for its intended purpose. When you use our hosted service only a few data points are retained anonymously for an extended period for internal purposes (troubleshooting, usage statistics). When you self-host the service we won't track anything.
